10/11/10 Meeting

At the last A.S.C. meeting, we discussed several projects to be put into work at the Academy. The first of these is livening our student lounges. We all know that anxious yellow color can be a little, well, unnerving. So we'll be working with our staff to try and change the paint, as well as utilizing student suggestion in hanging some new posters with contemporary AND classical art references.

We believe this will help boost the student's day while simply giving us an update to keep us fresh, even for visitors!

The next topic we discussed was a possible one day Art retreat, held right here at the school, perhaps on a Friday. This retreat would feature visiting artists, workshops, lectures, and much more. The faculty has taken a strong liking to this idea, so we hope to make progress on that very soon!

Also coming soon, suggestion boxes for the lounges!

There are a few more side projects we're working on and we'll keep you up to date on what all is going on! Stay tuned, and feel free to see us at our next meeting, Monday the 18th.

  1. Danielle,
It is great seeing a student not only take charge and make the school better for other students, but also being allowed to do so and have the ideas heard. I look forward to reading about the changes you make to the school. Good luck.
